HSArts’ Intermediate Division is a rigorous and exciting program for serious, motivated dancers ages 10+ to excel in their craft. In this division, Level 3 and 4 students spend multiple days a week in the studio, refining their technique and fine-tuning the body towards the rigor and artistic standards for pre-professional dance. Students take classes in classical Ballet and Classical Chinese Dance fundamentals, leap/turn technique, tumbling, folk dance, and repertoire.
Students should expect to spend multiple years in each level. Age, skill level, and hours of class per week can all play a role in determining a student’s progress.
Stage experience is an integral part of a student’s dance training, instilling confidence and poise in our blossoming dancers. All HSArts dance students participate in our Winter Wonders production in December and Spring Spectacular showcase in June. Students may also have the opportunity to perform at a number of on-campus and community events.
Many of our intermediate division students are also members of our competition team. Learn more about our competition team here.
